Home Addition - Construction Update 7

One side of the house exterior has been trimmed out.

edit: The trim boards are made of cypress and will be painted the same color as the rest of the addition to simulate board and batten siding.





Inside the addition, the new openings for doorways have been cut into the old exterior block:


I installed door handles over the weekend so the workers don't have to prop the doors shut with sticks anymore.




edit: Today they did some more work on the openings to the addition and it is more clear what the openings will look like. The opening on the left has a short wall to keep people from falling from the living room. The opening on the right will have stairs leading down to the addition. The 3D renderings posted earlier help visualize this (see Home Addition - New Floor Plan).
